“You may learn much more from a game you lose than from a game you win. You will have to lose hundreds of games before becoming a good player.” – José Raúl Capablanca
Veeny chess club was formed in 2015 with the aim of helping kids learn how to play various board games with special attention given to chess.
Veeny chess club mainly operates as an extra curricular club in schools. We love watching how kids’ faces light up when they learn the games and play with each other. They have so much fun and it builds up logical thinking skills needed to cope in this competitive world we live in.
Why Chess?
It brings people together. Teaches how to win and lose. Can help you focus. Develops creativity. Builds confidence. Develops problem-solving skills. Exercises the brain. Helps cultivate the trait of calmness…
What they say about us.
I've always had an interest in chess ever since I saw my dad play it with his friends. Veeny Chess Club has helped me learn how to play and offers me a platform to show my skills.

Teaching the kids and watching them progress has actually taught me a few important things about life. The joy on their faces when they make brilliant moves is all worth it.

Ever since my son started playing chess I've noticed an improvement in other aspects of his life. His grades have improved and I observed he is more organized and coordinated.
